WEGECA
In 2024, JGES established WEGECA (Women Endoscopists for Global Exchange and Career Advancement) as an organization to support female endoscopists seeking proactive career advancement, such as pursuing opportunities abroad.
In collaboration with Women in Endoscopy (WIE) and the Women In Gastroenterology Network Asia Pacific (WIGNAP), WEGECA aims to provide platforms for international information exchange, professional development, and collaborative research. Our goal is to empower female physicians in Japan and overseas to maximize their full potential in gastrointestinal endoscopy practice and research through mutual exchange.
