It is our great pleasure to announce you that Digestive Endoscopy (DEN) is publishing Special Issue entitled “Endoscopic Practice in an Aging Society” in 2027. To collect excellent Reviews and Original Articles for the issue, DEN publicly solicits submissions under the theme of “Endoscopic Practice in an Aging Society”. Interested?

We are looking for any topics related to this theme. 
Deadline for the submissions is June 30, 2026.

When submitting your manuscript, please make sure to mention in your cover letter that it is intended for Special Issue 2027.

The submitted manuscript will go through a peer-review process as usual. The acceptance criteria for all manuscripts are solely based on the quality, novelty and originality of the research, its relevance to our readership and scientific merit.

Please note that this Special Issue will be published as a Virtual Issue instead of the 2027 January issue. All articles to be included in Virtual Issue will first be published in the latest regular issue at that time. After the articles are published in regular issues, they will be included in the Virtual Issue as well when the time comes.

An important benefit of the submissions is that, in case of acceptance, they will be published as “free access” articles. We believe that this will increase the visibility of your contribution and possibly lead to more citations of your important research.
