We are happy to announce that the A-PSDE Research Grant 2025 is calling for proposals now.
Please note the details of the grant as below:

The Grant

A grant of up to US$20,000 will be awarded to 0–2 successful applicants.
The grant will support one original, high-quality research project in the gastrointestinal (GI) field. Previously funded research projects are not eligible.

Eligibility

• The Principal Investigator (PI) may be from any country from A-PSDE member societies.
• The project must involve multi-country collaboration, with at least two participating countries being from the current list of eligible developing countries:
  Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Thailand.

• The PI must hold an MD and/or PhD degree and obtain a formal recommendation from their national society president (if applicable).

Application Topic

• The proposed research must be related to the GI field and should be designed to promote collaboration and capacity building among participating countries.
• Proposals with clear scientific impact and potential long-term benefits for member societies are strongly encouraged.

Selection Method

Applications will be reviewed by the A-PSDE Research Funding Committee based on:

1. Scientific merit and innovation
2. Feasibility of the proposed plan
3. Level of multi-country collaboration and inclusion of eligible developing countries
4. Potential impact on GI research and member society development

Application Deadline

Applicant should send out the application by e-mail to the A-PSDE secretariat office at: secretariatapsdedummy@hotmail.com by 4 November 2025 (Monday). The results will be revealed in A-PSDE Annual General Meeting 2025 (21 November 2025).
